Klimakrise, Konzernmacht, Kriege: Die globalen Ursachen steigender Lebensmittelpreise

An event on the global causes of rising food prices, with a panel discussion followed by an audience discussion. It is organised by the association WEED - World Economy, Ecology & Development e.V.; speakers include guests from Oxfam Germany and the ver.di trade union as well as a representative of Die Linke, moderated by Simon Pompé of WEED. It looks at war, the climate crisis and the market power of large retailers such as Edeka, Rewe, Aldi and the Schwarz Group, which control over 90 percent of the German food trade. The discussion will consider political measures and civil society strategies for fairer and more crisis-resilient food systems.
