About

KUBUS 4 is a jazz quartet appearing at Kunstfabrik Schlot. The group performs a revue of original compositions spanning 68 years of jazz practice by saxophonist and composer Ludolf Kuchenbuch, born in 1939. The survey “Autobiophonie 1958–2026” moves through twelve stages, from Chicago Dixie via modern swing, hard bop, cool and jazz rock to freestyle. Alongside Ludolf Kuchenbuch on saxophone, the quartet features Paul Kuchenbuch (horn, guitar, percussion), Yannik Tiemann (bass) and Christoph Hillman (drums, percussion).
