La Haine: feature film set in a Paris banlieue.

A feature film about a day in the lives of three young men in a Parisian banlieue after a night of violence between police and youths. After a 16-year-old is brutally beaten during an interrogation, he fights for his life. His friends Vinz, Saïd and Hubert are driven by hatred of the system and swear revenge should their friend not survive. Mathieu Kassovitz's film with Vincent Cassel, Saïd Taghmaoui and Hubert Koundé is a ruthless critique of social inequality, racism and police violence that has lost none of its impact.
