Antigones Parallaxe: spoken theatre on death and resistance.

A spoken-theatre evening about theatre, death, crisis, memory and resistance, created as part of the Hamburg emerging-talent festival KIEZSTÜRMER. It is directed by Iván Ruge, with Rachel van den Boom on stage performing a text by her, Rongji Liao and Iván Ruge. Antigone waits on stage, where she is meant to recite the same stories of dying over and over; she will die and be buried hundreds of times, and we will dig her up again and again. Provoked by the eternal recurrence of Sophocles' Antigone and by brutal conflicts escalating worldwide, a group of young theatre-makers makes the paradoxical attempt to keep Antigone alive by finally letting her rot.
