A concert of works for cello and piano by Mendelssohn, Schumann and Weinberg. The duo of Marie-Elisabeth Hecker (cello) and Martin Helmchen (piano) makes its debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal with this program, which also includes rarely heard compositions by Beethoven and Schnittke's First Cello Sonata.
