The Matriarchale Filmtage are a curated documentary film and discourse format featuring films by German women filmmakers about women and matriarchal communities worldwide. It is an independent, self-organised project taking place for the first time. The filmmakers, who are present, accompany their works on matriarchal cultures and ways of life and invite conversation. There is also time for shared meals, spontaneous dancing and lively exchange.
