Modes of Fragility: Trio Abstrakt premiere of Wei-Chieh Lin.

"Modes of Fragility" is a concert by Trio Abstrakt for saxophone, piano and percussion, devoted to sound transformation. At its centre is the world premiere of a new work by Wei-Chieh Lin, which combines the energy of 1960s free jazz with the sounds of traditional Taiwanese ritual music. Also performed is the German premiere of Milica Djordjević's "Šljaka", whose musical material is formed into new sound structures as if under heat and pressure, and Stefan Streich's "move", which explores the coming-together of the very different instruments and discovers the ensemble as a "deep instrument". The concert is moderated and accompanied by a conversation with Leonie Reineke.
