About
“Obsession – Du sollst mich lieben” is a horror film about Bear, who wishes on a magical wishing tree to be loved by his crush Nikki more than anything else in the world. After the wish, Nikki becomes obsessed with Bear and grows increasingly psychotic and dangerous. The film was written, directed and edited by Curry Barker, who began his career on YouTube. Told with horror devices yet disturbingly close to everyday reality, it is about domestic violence and the danger that can emanate from the person next to you.

Critics
7.8Very good
Critics praise the masterful staging, unsettling atmosphere and a devotedly manic lead performance. Faults include familiar horror devices and tonal shifts that may not convince everyone.
