About

open excess is a jazz trio of piano, bass and drums that plays original compositions in the tradition of Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter and Roy Hargrove. For this concert the three invite the Tbilisi-born singer Anna Reizbikh and Berlin-based saxophonist Peter Ehwald as guests. The combo is known for its bubbling exuberance paired with plenty of wit, and for its fascination with music that emerges in the moment. Expect modern jazz improvisation between original compositions and spontaneity.
