A concert evening featuring two projects by the Portuguese bassist Carlos Bica, who lives in Berlin. In the first part, „I Am The Escaped One“, with Daniel Erdmann on tenor saxophone and DJ Illvibe on turntables, presents dense, contrast-rich music in which acoustic depth meets electronic textures. In the second part, the trio Azul, with Frank Möbus on guitar and Jim Black on drums, celebrates its 30th anniversary with transparent, multi-layered music balancing structure and freedom. The evening is part of the „Inside…“ series, which since 2020 has presented one artist from avant-garde, experimental or progressive jazz with two different projects in a single evening.
