PÖBELARIEN is a four-part performance series in which a parasite collective infests opera and reinvents famous works of the operatic canon. Created and performed by die schlangenknaben, who deliver beats, singing and shimmering costumes, with Joni Barnard as production lead. The audience can slip into new roles or simply watch, and at the end a parade leaves the opera house to infect the street. This evening belongs to part #2 "CARMEN KOMMT NICHT", after Carmen.
