About
The exhibition "première page: Die Poesie der ersten Seite" shows eleven short films from the première page series, each grown from the first page of a literary work. Young French animation artists used the magical moment of a first impression when beginning a book as the starting point for their visual experiments. The directors translate the printed word into lively, dynamic cinema, going far beyond mere illustration. Alongside the films, original texts and background material, personal statements by the artists offer insight into their creative process.
