About
At the Tchoban Foundation, the exhibition „Auf dem Weg ins Scheinwerferlicht: Die Hintergrund-Kunst des japanischen Anime-Films“ turns to the painted backgrounds of Japanese animated films. This is an art form that millions of people have seen without being consciously aware of it. Atmospheric landscapes, cities and interiors from the 1950s through the 2000s are presented.
