Bibliothek des John-F.-Kennedy-Instituts, Lansstraße 7-9, 14195 Berlin, Dahlem
About
A student workshop titled "Feminist Media Studies at 50: Power, Representation & Resistance" reflects on 50 years of feminist media studies. Behind it are Hannah Curran-Troop (University of Manchester), Rosalind Gill (Goldsmiths), Jo Littler (Goldsmiths) and Annelot Prins (Freie Universität Berlin). In a two-hour program, the guest scholars share personal and intellectual reflections, a contemporary cultural object is analyzed collaboratively, and the field's future is envisioned. The workshop is open to students from all departments; no prior knowledge is required.
