About

The reading „Rote Ziehharmonika“ is part of the accompanying programme of the touring exhibition „600 Akkordeons. Eure Geschichten. Unser Berlin“ and takes place in a shop unit at the das Schloss shopping centre. Dr. Sibylle Mottl-Link tells a true refugee story of how an instrument saved the life of her father and his family three times. The accordion story is accompanied by a projector presentation of historical photographs. There are also folk songs from Hungary and Eastern Europe to sing along with, as well as fragments including Danube Waves (J. Ivanovici) and Czardas (Vittorio Monti). Admission is free.
