ScienceLab: children explore maths through stories.

ScienceLab is a hands-on experimentation workshop at the Tempelhof library where curious children meet mathematics through stories and wonder. Behind the programme is the team of ScienceLab e.V., made up of Simone Lambert, Gesine Semini, Alexandra Schulz, Felix Willems and Jutta Kaiser. The children explore how to find out how much space something takes up without doing sums, how a flat surface suddenly becomes a solid body, and what incredible secret hides behind the 64 squares of a chessboard. The workshop is for children aged 6 to 10, requires registration, takes place in small groups of at most eight children, and a materials fee of 2 euros is payable in cash on site.
