About
A quartet concert from the field of real-time music at the Galiläakirche in Friedrichshain. Rieko Okuda on piano, Anke Lucks on trombone, Raymond MacDonald on alto sax and Christian Marien on drums. The band name alludes to the Bergisch-Brandenburgisches Quartett, formed in 1980; the saxophonist's notes frame the pieces and give them lively content. The music combines classical influences with moments tending towards hard attacks — fierce, loud and chaotic tangles.
