The »Großes Konzert« of Freunde Junger Musiker e.V. Berlin is a closed event at St. Matthäus-Kirche to which guests are welcome. Performing is the brass quintet Berliner Luftblech, known for chamber-music joy and a richly coloured, homogeneous sound. The quintet, winner of the 1st prize at the 2025 International Jan-Koetsier Competition and the 2nd prize at the 2026 Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Conservatory Competition, consists of Balazs Drahos, Valentin Fischer, Robert Franz, Michel Schwalgin and Jasper Nolte. The programme ranges from works by Johann Strauss and Victor Ewald to traditionals; instead of admission a donation of at least 30 € per person is requested, children are free.
