About
"SIEGFRIED" is a stage work based on true events: the tenor has dropped out, and the assistant director must step in at short notice to play the title role in Richard Wagner's opera. The piece was created by Stephan Thiel and Thomas Georgi, with Thomas Georgi on stage and Stephan Thiel directing. It interweaves the rehearsal for the big performance with dating-coach tips on "modern masculinity" and a confrontation with Wagner's worldview and stubborn gender clichés.
