Krug. Zerbrochen!
OST, Alt-Stralau 1-2, 10245 Berlin, Friedrichshain
About
"Krug. Zerbrochen!" is a theatre production by Theater Strahl Berlin, a comedy freely based on Heinrich von Kleist's "Der zerbrochne Krug". The play follows a theatre group rehearsing a big, modern jug show with music, but levels begin to blur: who gets to decide the casting, and why does everyone let director BO bully them while LIWO refuses to play Eve? Unsettling parallels to the original emerge, with threats, flattery, blackmail and lies aplenty, showing that people like the lying village magistrate Adam still sit in the boardrooms today as long as we believe them. The text and direction are by Uta Bierbaum and Anna Vera Kelle, with music by Alexander Schröder, performed by Amelie Barth, Jan Jaroszek, Matthias Kelle and Anne Sofie Schietzold.
