Spuren: Kino, Erinnerung und Frieden
Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, Schumannstraße 8, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
„Spuren: Kino, Erinnerung und Frieden“ is an event featuring five short films followed by a discussion. Curated by Nilgün Yelpaze and Leyla Toprak, it explores the role of culture and art in the current peace process in Turkey: making films for peace, keeping alive the memory of past injustices, and questions such as political prisoners, mother tongue and identity. It is organised by the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung, the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and the Off University. The films are in English and Turkish, and the ensuing conversation asks how cinema can bring people together in this process.
