About
The short film programme “INTERFILM42: The Past - Of Landscapes, Objects and Historicity” presents six documentary films in the festival's documentary competition. It is staged by INTERFILM - Internationales Kurzfilmfestival Berlin. Rather than seeing history as a single red thread, the films treat it as a chaotic tangle, a complex weave or a knotted ball of wool, pulling at loose ends to connect present and past. Packing lists are written for imprisoned friends, dancing bodies search for post-Yugoslav or nostalgic identities, and landscapes marked by colonialism, military history and war are measured.
