A double feature of two surf films about a thirst for adventure and the courage to make dreams come true. In GUTS, Patrizia and Marie set off on a 20,000-kilometre offroad surf safari from Biarritz to Guinea-Bissau to portray women who are redefining their place in society across Northwest Africa. HER WAVE, in three chapters structured around the phases of the moon, follows Germany's big-wave surfer Lena Kemna through her second season in Nazaré. Both films realistically and visually strikingly capture what happens when women leave traditional role models behind and listen to their own voice.
