About

This is a short film program of six mostly essayistic works that turn their attention to landscapes and cityscapes. Named after Ursula Le Guin's novel, it spans vast geographical distances as well as metaphorical shores. Each film explores in its own way how the past and present shape our view, taking up themes such as grief, diaspora, exploitation and colonialism. The program was curated by Raphael Kent and Valentine Tusa.
