Tausendmal Berlin. Die Sammlung der Nationalgalerie im Hamburger Bahnhof
Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart Berlin, Invalidenstraße 50-51, 10557 Berlin
About
"Tausendmal Berlin. Die Sammlung der Nationalgalerie im Hamburger Bahnhof" is a collection presentation at Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart Berlin. Curated by Sam Bardaouil and Charlotte Knaup, it shows more than 70 works by over 50 artists, including Cemile Sahin, Katharina Grosse, Mona Hatoum, Pierre Huyghe, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Katharina Sieverding, Thomas Struth and Danh Vo. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and video installations reflect the myth of Berlin as a place of hedonism and subculture and place it in an international context. The presentation is part of the anniversary programme "30 Jahre Hamburger Bahnhof" and continues the museum's long-standing collaboration with the Kunstsammlung des Bundes, supplemented by new acquisitions as well as well-known major works by Robert Rauschenberg or Isa Genzken and rarely shown, partly unpublished works.
