The Passion According to GHB

In the film 'The Passion According to G.H.', a man named Matias invites several men to a chemsex gathering in São Paulo, where passages from Clarice Lispector's novel 'The Passion According to G.H.' mingle with sex and the book's fictional protagonist G.H. appears to Matias as he comes down from the high. It is not only about desire but also about the men's innermost thoughts, fears and insecurities, and the recurring intoxication allows complete transparency. The Brazilian feature by Gustavo Vinagre, starring Rodrigo Campos, Vinícius Couto, Luciano Falcão, Jessé Jorge, Igor Mo and Christiane Tricerri, is an intimate, imaginative and sobering study of one of today's most burning topics among gay men. It screens in the Portuguese original version with English subtitles.
