Theater der Verrückten: forum theatre, open rehearsals.

Theater der Verrückten is a creative theatre group that takes a stand against discrimination, stigmatisation and oppression of people experiencing mental health problems. The group makes its own problems and conflicts its subject, developing scenes independently that ask the group and its audience about possibilities for change. Ideas for how scenes could unfold can be tried out on the spot; this form is called Forumtheater and belongs to the repertoire of the Theatre of the Oppressed by the Brazilian theatre maker Augusto Boal. The rehearsals are open to all in principle, though the group asks for prior registration by email or phone.
