About

„Theater Techno Tempel“ is a theatre performance at Theater im Kino on Rigaer Straße, in the rooms that once housed the legendary club „Schizzo-Tempel“. Behind the production is director Richard Haufe-Ahmels with dramaturg Paul Marwitz-Seyffert, workshops by Jonin Herzig and an ensemble of ten performers. The performance brings the club back to life and plunges into 1990s Berlin-Friedrichshain, shaped by upheaval, vacant spaces, evictions and gentrification. The piece negotiates questions of freedom, security and living together and deals with club culture, alcohol and drug use and police violence.
