House of Hopes
Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Linienstraße 227, 10178 Berlin, Mitte
About
House of Hopes is a theatrical walk through the theatre at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, starting in the box-office foyer and leading via staircases and foyers up to the present day. The production is by Rimini Protokoll (Stefan Kaegi, Daniel Wetzel), a co-production of Rimini Apparat with the Volksbühne. Across seven stations, people share autobiographical stories about hope in countries around the world, from the movements of 1989 to today. Following the traces of that historical turning point, it asks whether hoping means waiting or making change possible.
