The Varnhagen-Lecture is a talk with readings about the writer and salonnière Rahel Levin Varnhagen. Anke Gilleir, professor of modern German literature and gender studies at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, speaks about Varnhagen's correspondence with her youthful friends. Corinna Harfouch and Alexander Khuon complement the talk with passages from the letter editions edited by Barbara Hahn, which appear at the end of October 2026 in the Wallstein Verlag. The series is run by the Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung; admission is free and registration is required.
