About
The WiFF-Bundeskongress 2026 is a public event devoted to early childhood education. It is organised by the Weiterbildungsinitiative Frühpädagogische Fachkräfte (WiFF) and takes place at the Robert Bosch Stiftung in Berlin. Its subject is the child day care system at a turning point, shaped by falling birth rates, a coming wave of retirements among professionals and growing pressure on public budgets. The congress asks how full coverage and pedagogical quality can be balanced, how educational opportunities can be made equitable and how strained working conditions can be improved.
