About
The “Runder Tisch Brasilien 2026” is a conference on the topic “Brasilien nach der Wahl – Wer gestaltet die Zukunft?” (“Brazil after the election – Who shapes the future?”). It is run by a cooperation of many organisations, with the Latin America department of the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung part of its supporting circle. Together with guests from Brazil, including Indigenous leaders and representatives of organisations such as Instituto Terramar and Cáritas Brasileira, it looks at the political and social challenges the country faces after the October elections. The focus is on prospects for democracy, human rights, climate justice and international solidarity; the conference is held in German and Portuguese.
