About
An evening of songs, vices and legends around the lyricist Bruno Balz, who wrote lyrics such as »Ich weiß, es wird einmal ein Wunder gescheh‘n«. Enno Kraus sings songs whose lyrics Balz wrote for Zarah Leander and others, with Alba Gentili-Tedeschi at the piano. Judith Kessler reads from her book »Kann denn Liebe Sünde sein? Auf den Spuren des Liedtexters Bruno Balz« and tells what truth there is in the stories about him – how he wrote hundreds of lyrics for UFA films and how the image of a tragic hero arose, said to have been mistreated by the Nazis as a homosexual and forced to write his songs.
