About
A musical reading homage to the poet Mascha Kaléko. Actress and singer Judith Jakob traces her life through poems, diary entries and musical settings. She is accompanied on piano by pianist and composer Joachim Jezewski. Kaléko's melancholy-yet-witty verse deals with everyday situations such as love, separation, hope and loneliness – from her rise in Berlin during the Weimar Republic, via her flight and years of poverty in the USA, to her final years in Israel.
