The 90-minute programme brings together a screening of the documentary 'ÀYÀN: The Drum That Speaks' on the Yoruba talking drum, a guest lecture by Professor Lucy Durán of SOAS titled 'The Musical Legacy of Pre-Colonial Mali: Impacts and Invisibilities', a cultural conversation and live Q&A with her and host Olanrewaju Sharafa, and an interactive talking drum workshop.
