About

A talk and listening event exploring Harlesden and Brent's role in black music beyond reggae, covering genres from soul, jazz, funk and hip-hop to Afrobeat through the area's record shops, clubs, venues and radio stations. Visitors are welcome to bring a vinyl record with a Brent connection to play and discuss, and families are invited. Kwaku, an independent history researcher, historical musicologist and Brent resident, is behind it. No booking is required.
