Reading for Resistance: Amnesty's anti-censorship launch.

Amnesty UK - Reading for Resistance Campaign Launch is the public launch of a campaign against censorship of LGBTQ+ rights, bringing together libraries, councils, authors and communities. It is hosted by the Amnesty International UK Queer Rights Network and marks 23 years since the repeal of Section 28 during Trans Awareness Week. A panel of speakers including Dean Atta, a BAFTA award-winning screenwriter and Stonewall Book Award-winning author, will speak, with more to be announced. The event launches Amnesty's Queer Stories Covenant, a public pledge to protect access to LGBTQ+ stories, and attendees leave with practical ways to take action.
