About

An Inspector Calls is a classic drama by the English playwright J. B. Priestley, first performed in 1945 in the Soviet Union and in Britain during 1946. This staging is directed by Stephen Daldry, whose multi award-winning revival of Priestley's thriller returns for a strictly limited season. The story is set in April 1912, when the wealthy Birling family's engagement celebration is interrupted by Inspector Goole, whose investigations into the death of a young woman shake the foundations of their lives. The production has won more awards than any other, including three Oliviers and four Tonys, and has entertained more than four million theatregoers.
