About
Andrew Zolinsky gives a piano recital pairing works by Ravel, Beethoven and Debussy with pieces by Copland and Tippett. The programme explores contrasting approaches to colour, rhythm and expression at the piano, moving from Ravel's Sonatine and Beethoven's late Sonata Op. 109 through Debussy's shimmering sonorities to Copland's blues-infused Four Piano Blues and Tippett's Fourth Piano Sonata. Zolinsky is a pianist known for his individual interpretations and his work with living composers, having performed with orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia and the London Sinfonietta.
