A lunchtime violin and piano recital lasting about an hour without an interval. Singaporean violinist Chloe Chua, not yet 20 and praised for daring virtuosity and a gloriously free spirit, is joined by pianist Julien Quentin. Their programme frames Beethoven's gripping Violin Sonata No. 4 in A minor Op. 23 with Tartini's fiendishly difficult 'Devil's Trill' Sonata and Franz Waxman's heart-warming Carmen Fantasie. It forms part of the Pentatone 25th Anniversary Festival at Wigmore Hall.
