About
La Nuova Musica under David Bates performs J.S. Bach's Mass in B Minor, one of the great landmarks of Baroque sacred music. The London Festival of Baroque Music 2026 closes with this work, which brings together virtuosic choruses and expressive arias in a piece of extraordinary spiritual and emotional range. The ensemble, praised for vivid and deeply expressive early music performances, aims to reveal the Mass as not only monumental, but vividly alive. The performance lasts two hours including an interval.
