St Mary le Strand, Strand, WC2R 1ES London, Covent Garden
About
Beethoven Piano Trios by Candlelight is an evening of chamber music performed by candlelight inside St Mary le Strand, a stunning Baroque church with a soaring interior bathed in the warm glow of candlelight. The hugely talented Somerset Piano Trio plays beloved piano trios for piano, violin, and cello by Ludwig van Beethoven and other great composers, including Beethoven's Piano Trio Op 1 No. 2 in G major and Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor. From tender lyricism to explosive energy, Beethoven's trios showcase the emotional depth, structural brilliance, and revolutionary spirit that changed the course of classical music. The concert promises a truly enriching experience whether you are a devoted classical enthusiast or simply looking for a magical evening out.
