Better Go Mad in the Wild

An award-winning, playful documentary about identical twins František and Ondřej, who live on their own terms on a ramshackle farm deep in the Šumava Mountains, tending animals, swimming in forest lakes, writing poetry and bickering. It is made by Miro Remo, who blends semi-staged vignettes, striking visuals, a talking cow and anarchic humour to blur reality and fairy tale. The film follows František, who dreams of freedom and adventure, and Ondřej, who longs for the familiar, as their bond is put to the test. The screening is followed by a Q&A with the director.
