About
Chinese Painting & Calligraphy is a hands-on art class in the Landmark Arts Centre's Bell Room, exploring the expressive relationship between water, ink and paper through brush painting and traditional Chinese characters. It is led by Fan Wong, an internationally exhibiting artist whose work explores rhythm, identity and cultural expression. Suitable for all levels, from curious beginners to experienced artists, the guided practice leads participants to create their own artworks combining calligraphy and painting. All essential materials, including rice paper, ink, brushes and colours, are provided; students bring two small containers for water and ink plus some newspaper for the workspace, and wear dark clothing as ink can stain.
