Knit & Knatter — 留白 / Beyond Emptiness edition

The SOAS Library Knitting Club returns to the SOAS Gallery for a relaxed crafting social, held alongside the exhibition 留白 – Beyond Emptiness by Hong Kong architect and artist Raymond Fung. The session takes its backdrop from 留白 (liú bái), the art of "leaving blank" in traditional Chinese ink painting, about the meaning held within space and silence. It is a drop-in, not a class: there is no instruction and no fixed programme, just needles and conversation in the gallery's calm. Bring your own project — knitting, crochet, embroidery or any textile craft — and your own needles, hooks and materials; all skill levels are welcome and booking is essential as space is limited.
