Come & Sing - Fauré Requiem is an evening of powerful choral music built around Gabriel Fauré's Requiem in D minor, composed between 1887 and 1890. This setting of the shortened Mass for the Dead, in Latin, is the best-known of his large works, focusing on eternal rest and consolation; the day before Remembrance Sunday offers a moment to reflect and join together in song and prayer. Singers take part in a rehearsal followed by refreshments and a concert, with scores provided and a dress code of all black. It is conducted by Music Director Keith Pun, and anyone interested in solo parts can contact the music director directly.
