EFG London Jazz Festival: Empirical with Ivo Neame.
- The Cockpit Theatre
- from £7.50
About
A jazz concert at The Cockpit, part of the EFG London Jazz Festival's Jazz in the Round. The multi award-winning UK jazz ensemble Empirical performs its album Like Lambs: To The Slaughter, joined by long-time collaborators Ivo Neame on piano and David Preston on guitar. The album is an uninterrupted 51-minute musical story, a reworking of drummer Shaney Forbes' long-form suite exploring independent thought versus herd-like behaviour. The music moves between contemporary classical, soundscape, post-bop and free jazz.
