About
Filipiñana is a feature film screening about Isabel, a 17-year-old from the rural north of the Philippines who lines up golf balls for powerful men at an elite country club outside Manila, where she soon discovers something is rotting beneath the pristine fairways. It is the debut feature of Rafael Manuel, made with Singapore, the UK, the Philippines, France and the Netherlands, and stars Jorrybell Agoto, Carmen Castellanos and Teroy Guzman. The film won the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for Creative Vision at Sundance 2026. A screening later in the run will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
