Highgate Art Fair is a weekend of original, affordable contemporary art held in the Victorian hall of Highgate Primary School, with nearly 40 artists, galleries and collectives showing straight from the studio. It began as a village exhibition and has grown into one of North London's most talked-about art weekends, where visitors can still talk to the person who made the work. Painters, printmakers, photographers and makers from studios across Highgate, London and further afield are selected directly rather than through a gallery. The Victorian hall, with soaring windows and exposed timber trusses, fills the room with warm, natural light.
