About
Historic Boat Trips 2026 offers a ride on a 1930s narrowboat through London. It is run by the London Canal Museum in partnership with Camden Canals and Narrowboat Association, on board their 1937 working boat Tarporley. The roughly three-hour cruise travels east from the museum through the long Islington Tunnel, City Road Lock and Sturt's Lock to Kingsland Basin before returning. A museum guide on board tells you about the history of the boat and the route and serves tea, coffee and biscuits.
